Anonymous asked: how can i get my nails to grow quicker

You could try taking biotin or prenatal vitamins. They make your hair and nails grow quicker. I’ve never used them though!

sweet-nails asked: What is the best way to clean your brushes after using them with regular nail polish or acrylic paint?

I use pure acetone most of the time, I just dip them in and then wipe them off on a paper towel or something similar. If that isn’t enough I’ll pour a little bit of acetone in the cap and swirl the brush around in it, usually that is enough the break down the polish or paint. Just be careful not to dip the brush too far into the bottle of acetone because acetone is strong and will start to eat away at the paint on the brush handle. It can also eat away at the glue that holds the ferrule (the metal part) and the handle together, it’s something to keep in mind, but I just keep a little superglue on hand for when that happens.

You can use regular nail polish remover for cleaning brushes in a pinch, but I find once the paint or polish has really dried on the brush bristles the regular remover will not be as easy to use as acetone!

sweet-nails asked: I need a recommendation for a light pink nail polish to use for an antique rose design. I tried one of the Finger Paints, but it seemed to stay goopy for too long. Could you give me a specific brand and color you prefer? Much love! <3

Wet n Wild Tickled Pink is a nice, basic light pink!

Also, if you are using the pink for the roses and not the base color, you might consider using acrylic paints. Then you could either buy a light pink or mix a little white into a red or a brighter pink. I usually use acrylic paint for roses!

thebigger-infinity asked: Hello :) since you know so much about nail art and you have experience with stamping. I was wondering if it is a necessity to use some kind of special nail polish when stamping? Can I not just use regular nail polish?

You don’t need to use a special polish made specifically for stamping, but not every polish is going to work. If you have any polishes that are opaque in one coat, or any chrome polishes, those will usually work. Most of the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes are great for stamping!
